It's off to the country again.

Dad wanted to count the cows and make sure everything was okay at Grandma and Grandpa's so we spent some time in the country.  I just love going to the country.  There's lots of room to run and play.  I don't have to be on my leash or worry about cars.  Just run and play all day.  That's the way dogs like it best.

I managed to stay out of the way of the cows.  After Dad counted everyone, we drove over to Aunt Valerie and Uncle Jim's house to have dinner and spend the night.  And, best of all, my friends Sammy the cat and Honey the dog live there.  Sammy is my size and just right to play with.  Honey is much much bigger than me and I have to be careful not to get stepped on, but she is really nice to me.

Dad and I even went turkey hunting early on Sunday morning.  We didn't see any turkeys but we did see some deer.  I could smell them before Dad even saw them, but I pointed the way by looking in that direction until he could spot them.  They are pretty to look at, but they aren't much for playing with.  They just run away!  After we were done hunting, we went back to Uncle Jim and Aunt Valerie's house for breakfast.  Boy was I hungry!
